A nose that has a flourish of honeysuckle, chamomile, and orange blossom, followed by spicy notes of coriander and crisp aromas of citrus and pine. A palate of silky texture coats the tongue. A palate that has a soft start with a real crescendo of flavour: juicy berries make way for spice, before clean juniper and zesty citrus. A nose of rhubarb notes bursting through: tart, fruity, fresh, invigorating, and inviting A palate of bright rhubarb stalks upfront, with a brief flash of sourness. This is followed by an array of sweet spice: vanilla, nutmeg, and ginger, which add balance. This deliciously festive 2019 vintage is inspired by a Warner’s family traditional homemade Christmas cake. Silky dark chocolate and winter spices are distilled before being cask-aged and blended with pure cherry juice.
Nose – Syrupy raisins, dipped in melted chocolate and sprinkled with icing sugar, with notes of toasted almond and cinnamon spice, followed by a hint of nutmeg and sweet orange.
Taste – Maraschino cherry and notes of dark chocolate unfold, with hints of macadamia nut and vanilla pod.
Finish – Liquorice, spiced orange and clove give way to bright juniper before softening to old fashioned, traditional cola.
