On the nose, the smells of ripe red pulp fruit are followed immediately by spicy tones of liquorice and cinnamon, and with iron and undergrowth.
The palate is gritty and powerful, characterized by sophisticated soft shades and a deliciously mentholated and balmy closure. Long finish.
The “San Michele” which gives a fragrance and sensuality at the same time, and capable of showing a truly exemplary concentration. Matured for one year in oak barrels and aged for 21 months in a bottle.
Great with red meat and game.
Production is small at 6000 bottles and all grapes are hand harvested.
