A pure ruby-garnet colour where the taste of wine is rounded, lush, clean, with a good balance, notes of chocolate and anise, with soft sweet tannins. The aroma of wine reveals sweet notes of ripe black fruit, raisins, cherries and red liquorice. This wine should be served with grilled red meats, cheeses and dishes from beans.
Grillo is one of the most promising native Sicilian grapes, which is still grown with the ancient small-tree method at a density of 6000 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested by hand and softly pressed. The wine is pleasurably structured and one does not even notice its strength and alcohol content thanks to a splendid balance for a full-bodied wine.
This brilliant golden yellow Grillo is pleasant to taste with as the fresh taste of the wine shows a harmonious combination of acidity, mild alcohol content and persistent fruitiness. Calm short finish fascinates with its purity. Intense notes of ripe exotic and citrus fruits in the aroma of wine are accompanied by charming hints of spices and Mediterranean herbs. We recommend to drink with poultry, white meat, sea fish, seafood, soft cheeses, as well as with fruit.
The wine is full on the palate, soft, warm and harmonious. The velvety tannins are barely noticeable and disappear quickly, followed by some spice, balsamic notes and pleasant liquorice that creep on through providing a long welcome finish.
An oaked primitivo It is a single varietal Primitivo, from a small vineyard parcel in the heart of the superior Manduria DOC in the heel of Italy. This is a fine example of primitivo: full-bodied, jammy with tones of chocolate and raisins. Really meant to be drunk young, those that love fruity wines will not be disappointed.
Primitivo, also known as Zinfandel, is a natural sponge-like grape, jam-packed with flavour after soaking up the Sicilian sunshine. The immediate aroma is sweet, with upfront fruit dark berries, raisins, black cherry and red liquorice. It is very round with aromas and flavours of chocolate and anise. Soft sweet tannins add to its lushness.
An elegant wine with spicy notes of green pepper blended mingled with blackberries and cherries followed by tobacco and vanilla from the oak. Upfront start with good depth of flavour and integrated tannin balanced with the inherent softness really make this an elegant syrah (Shiraz).
