Brief
Tasting Notes
A real mouthful. Big, rich round and ripe with loads of sweet berry, black pepper, licorice, spice and chocolate with very long lingering tannins and a warm but soft finish.
Detailed Tasting Notes
The Shiraz crop gave an average yield of approx 3.5 t per acre (8.64 t / ha) – excellent deep colour, rich rounded flavours and long, ripe tannins. The Grenache was picked in two separate batches between 14.5 ºBé and 16.5 ºBé. It produced slightly bigger than average berries and was left to hang to ensure optimum flavour and ripeness. The Mourvedre was picked very late and showed excellent colour, good tannin structure and rich, gamey flavours.
