Grenache Shiraz 2004

Brief Tasting Notes

The 2004 Five Geese Grenache Shiraz is a generous, fruity wine with a balanced palate. The spice flavours are combined with the ripe confectionary fruit sweetness characteristic of Grenache, but this is balanced by the earth iron characters, tannins and acidity of this fruit. The small amount of Shiraz enhances the palate and adds smoothness and length. This wine is ready for immediate drinking, but because this is a big structured wine, it will handsomely reward careful cellaring.
